The Virginia Granger Elementary School project in Okanogan, WA began with the removal of 140 cubic yards of pea gravel from the existing playground area. We then brought in a 120 cubic yards of 3/4″ gravel in order to do surface preparation for the poured in place protective fall surfacing. We spread, raked, watered, and compacted the gravel to a well graded and smooth surface preparation finish. We then installed Burke playground equipment for 5-12 year olds featuring multiple slides, monkey bars, a zip line, and seated and standing spinners.

Many aspects of physical skills are developed by negotiating the equipment which is incidental to children simply having fun.
